Saturday Spotlight: Random House Open House

Yesterday I attended an Open House at Random House.  It was a fabulous program of panels and book signings, with opportunities to meet authors and get copies of their new books.

Someday, Someday, MaybeThe day began with the perspectives of a debut novelist, Lauren Graham, the actress best known for her roles in the series Gilmore Girls and Parenthood, who spoke about her recently released book, Someday, Someday, Maybe.

Old-School Comfort Food: The Way I Learned to Cook  Alex Guarnaschelli gave a candid and entertaining look at her cooking experiences and Food Network appearances, as well as insights into writing her cookbook, Old-School Comfort Food.

Wonder  Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy  R.J. Palacio, author of Wonder, and Emily Bazeldon, author of Sticks and Stones, discussed the topic of bullying.

Other highlights of the day in photos, from the Summer Buzz Books presentation:

Many thanks to Random House for an extremely enjoyable event.

Enjoy life with books...
