Weekly Book Recap #81

September is off to a fast pace, with summery hot, humid weather making a most unwelcome appearance after an unseasonably cool July and August, and busy times at work.  We've had more 90 degree days this week than we had all summer long.  And, although the fall semester began during the last week of August, students didn't get serious about finding their books and starting their research assignments until this week, after the Labor Day holiday.  Both campuses where I work were teeming with textbook seekers and computer users.

I didn't have much time to read this week -- just one book for a blog tour.  Friday night I attended a book club meeting where The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert was discussed.  Feelings about the book were split pretty much 50/50 between those who really liked it and those who didn't.  Everyone did agree that it was a good book club choice with interesting characters and lots of points for discussion.  I've got a few more pages left to read, but can say I'm in the "liked it" camp.
