First Chapter ~ First Paragraph and Teaser Tuesday

It's Tuesday . . . time for . . .

First Chapter ~ First Paragraph Tuesday Intros now hosted by Yvonne at Socrates' Book Reviews, where bloggers share excerpts from a book they have read, are currently reading, or are planning to read.

Teaser Tuesday hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker, where bloggers post two teaser sentences (no spoilers allowed) from a random page of their current read.

Today I am featuring a recent blog tour read, Tea & Treachery by Vicki Delany.  The excerpts shared are from an eBook I received from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Book Beginning:  Chapter 1
"Creamy Earl Grey."

"English breakfast."

"Darjeeling.  Doesn'the name say it all? The romance of travel.  Misty hillsides and light, warm rain.  Green plants and fragrant leaves."

Teaser"She can'talk to anyone about it and has to pretend she doesn'much care.  She'not doing good job of that."

What do you think? Would you continue reading?
The opening lines and book cover make my taste buds sing. As fan of two other Vicki Delany'series, I enjoyed reading this first book in her new Tea by the Sea mystery series

The setting is Cape Cod, lovely beach paradise that I've visited twice.

This First Chapter~First Paragraph and Teaser Tuesday was originally composed and/or compiled by Catherine for the Book Club Librarian blog. It cannot be republished without attribution.

  6. where bloggers share excerpts from a book they have read, are currently reading, or are planning to read). To do so, you will need the Free Web Writer plugin for your WordPress installation. The most common reason why authors don't publish is that this blog simply does not scale and monetize well enough without them sharing it with others on their blogs/pages of jewelry importers webpage etc., which means people cannot really gain any sales (in terms of words being shared); though there can be examples in life where publishers did post some content about an idea through one "subreddit" - typically because someone else posted too early but then sold by having all those thoughts disseminated quickly throughout other social channels over time. There's also often just no incentive left after these initial post
